A traveling tea-and-coffee wagon for creature lovers and kind-hearted wanderers, coming soon(ish) to festivals and fields around the Piedmont. Picture this: you order a chai, donate $10+ to a local shelter, and step into a quiet tent with a bunny, lizard, or rescue pup. You sip, you breathe, you meet a creature who feels like home. Maybe you fall in love. Maybe you bring them home. Maybe mornings will never be the same again.

What’s this all about?

What will it be?

Kithden Coffee Wagon is a mobile café + small animal adoption experience, where the smell of chai and coffee mingles with paws and gentle hearts. We will serve slow drinks, seasonal blends, and simple joy—while partnering with local rescues to help often overlooked animals (bunnies, reptiles, birds, old dogs, and more) find loving homes.

What to expect:

A short, poetic menu of coffees, teas, and herbal drinks
Seasonal treats and limited-edition mugs, shirts, and stickers
Cozy animal “snuggle tents” staffed by local rescue volunteers
The chance to meet (and maybe adopt) a new companion
Quiet joy, soft hospitality, and a little bit of magic

Why it matters:

I love cat cafes. But, most are strictly cat-only, with a fixed-location, and inaccessible to many with allergies. Kithden is something a bit different. It’s a mobile first, animal inclusive, alternative experience for weirdos, the wanderers, the families, the quietly curious.

We bring the creatures to you. Adoptable bunnies, bearded dragons, snakes, old dogs, and more. We make space for connection on a human scale. And we do it with care, good beans, and tents in a field, or parking lot, of your choosing.

When is this happening ?

We’re building slowly, intentionally, and with a lot of heart. Our goal is to have the first event in the summer of 2026. We’re aiming for 2 events a month with all kinds of creatures. Want to stay informed?

How will it work?

Part coffee wagon, part experience, part spark—Kithden brings Wyrdstead’s values to sidewalks, fields, and festivals across the Piedmont Triad.

Coffee and tea are available to-go at every event
Animal tents are have a minimum donation ($10–15+, supporting the rescues directly)
Book ahead to reserve your time—and get a coffee discount
All net profits from animal time go back to the shelters who care for them

What can I do to help?

We’re building this slowly—with hand-me-downs, borrowed gear, and a lot of heart—and we’d love your help.

If you want to support the wagon, here’s how:

Donate supplies (coffee gear, signage, folding chairs, tea pots)
Connect us with used equipment, shelters, or festival organizers
Sponsor an event or adoption tent (as an individual or business)
Share your skills or time—whether you’re handy with a hammer, a spreadsheet, or a camera

And if you become a sponsor or supporter?

Your name (or your business’s) will be part of our “Built Though Community” wall—a tribute to everyone who helped build the wagon from the ground up. You may also get a limited edition thank-you mug or early invites to our first events.
